Team Formation Guide

Build Your Compliance Pod

A Compliance Pod is a team of 3-5 students with complementary skills who work together like a mini consulting firm. Learn how to form, structure, and succeed as a team.

Why Form a Compliance Pod?

Working in a pod multiplies your capabilities and accelerates your success.

Handle More Clients

A pod can serve 3-5x more clients than an individual, dramatically increasing earning potential.

How to Form Your Pod

Follow these steps to build a high-performing Compliance Pod.

01

Assess Your Strengths

Take our skills assessment to identify your natural role within a Compliance Pod. Are you detail-oriented? A natural communicator? Strong at sales?

02

Find Complementary Partners

Use our community Discord to connect with students who have different strengths. A great pod has diverse skills, not duplicates.

03

Define Roles & Responsibilities

Use our Pod Agreement template to clearly define who does what. This prevents conflicts and ensures accountability.

04

Set Communication Norms

Agree on meeting schedules, response times, and communication tools. Consistency is key to pod success.

05

Start with Simulated Client

Practice working together on our simulated company before taking on real clients. Build trust and workflows first.

06

Take on your first real client together. Hold weekly retrospectives to improve your processes and collaboration.

Important Note

While we provide templates, guidance, and a community to help you find teammates, forming a pod is ultimately your responsibility. We cannot guarantee you will find compatible partners or that your pod will succeed.

Success depends on your initiative, communication skills, and commitment to working collaboratively. Many students also succeed working independently—pods are optional but recommended.
